Sweet Potato Cookie Dog Treat


Ingredients

  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup sweet potato cooked
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 

  2. Add oats to a food processors and blend until they reach a flour consistency.

  3. Add the coconut oil and cooked sweet potato.

  4. Process until combined.

  5. Add the water and pulse until the mixture becomes dough-like. 

  6. Take the dough out and roll it to about a quarter inch. 

  7. Cut into shapes using a cookie cutter or a pizza cutter.

  8. Transfer the cookies onto a cookie sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes. 

  9. Cool and store in an airtight container. 

These scrumptious cookies are wheat and dairy free which make them great treats for dogs with allergies. Sweet potatoes are full of vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber that are great for your dog’s health.

Frozen Banana Pupsicle Treats

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mashed bananas
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 3 cups low-fat vanilla yogurt

Instructions

  1. Microwave peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl until soft.

  2. Mix in mashed bananas and yogurt.

  3. Pour mixture into ice cube trays.

  4. Freeze until solid.

These frozen dog treats are great to keep on hand during hot weather. Banana is easy on the stomach and contains potassium, fiber and copper which are all essential to your dog’s health. It also contains peanut butter, an all-time puppy crowd pleaser.

Yam Chews

  • Yams

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.

  2. Wash and dry yams.

  3. Thinly slice yams lengthwise to about ¼ inch wide.

  4. Place slices on a parchment lined baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 3 hours, or until dry and chewy, turning halfway through.

  6. Store in the refrigerator.
